This is determined by both the practical need to produce hydrogen, which is widely used today, and the fundamental need to understand the processes that occur during the implementation of a particular conversion method. The paper presents the main plasma-chemical methods for methane conversion. Particular attention is paid to methods where pulsed electron beams are used as plasma sources. The methane conversion methods were compared in several categories: energy consumption for CH4 decomposition, degree of conversion, synthesis selectivity.
